~ In Loving Memory Of Our Transitioned Friends ~ He found me on the beach one day, came over, crawled into my lap with his wet, sandy body and went to sleep. I knew then he was meant to come with me. Within a week my sister passed Wise Woman, the brown retriever, on the side of a road. The next day it was pouring rain and she was still standing in the same spot. My sister opened her car door and in she crawled and proudly sat in the front seat! These two mated, 1 puppy stayed with us and 2 of the others went to live with our sister. 13 years later our sisters dogs returned to live with us after she transitioned. Then they transitioned in 2001 and 2003. He was born on a boat in the Caribbean, was left ashore at a boatyard when he was 3 weeks old. A friend worked at the boatyard called me, he made a bed in a box for him next to the generator hum until I could get there that afternoon.
